Unfortunately, I am still using my low-quality iPhone 4 for video purposes, so pardon the quality of my snaps from the incredible storm. However, you can hear the thunder's roar and get a sense for the storm's powerful nature.
On another note, today marks the 54th anniversary of the day my grandparents met. My Nana was in Italy celebrating St. Rose (who shares her first name), and met my Nonno on the beach by chance. They shared a minimal amount of time in Italy together before realizing they were in love, and were married not long after meeting in Bari, even with my Nana returning to the United States. My Nonno remained in his Italian home, while my Nana was an ocean away in the U.S., but they found a way to build their love and follow the same life path. Their story gives me faith that--in the right place and time--love will present itself and endure a lifetime, despite distance or other obstacles.
Witnessing nature and the love my grandparents share is a blessing. The world we live in is truly enchanting.
