Calm is the mind when we realize we truly only need to please ourselves. We are not living for the sake of others (though being conscious of their existence and the mutual ability to affect each other is certainly a factor to consider). At peace is the world when you look internally, and realize all you truly need is within you. To be happy when you are alone is true joy. When the rest of the world is removed, you are an independent creature, and cannot rely on others for the creation of your happiness. Though happiness is doubtlessly best when shared, true complacence (acceptance of self, comfort in our own skin) is best discovered when alone. When we are comfortable with ourselves, we can more willingly give a piece of ourselves to others without sacrificing our gifts. Our hearts are more open, and we carry love for ourselves with ease, so our love can expand and be shared. That being said, we should surround ourselves with people who reflect the aura and characteristics we desire in our ourselves. We need to search for and attract the positivity we deserve. Accept love, compassion, and positive energy from others. Allow these people to escalate, not create, our mindset and innermost joy by creating space in our hearts for their presence and resonance with our unique self. We are a mirror of our world, and our world is a mirror of ourselves. What we see, we have created. What we surround ourselves with, we are. We should mold our lives with our heart and soul. We should accept, love, dream, and be.
"When you give yourself to places, they give you yourself back," said Rebecca Solnit. Exploring ourselves and the world is a continual process of enlightenment. We create ourselves; we create the world. We surround ourselves with people and places who will light our path. When we know the love and joy that is within us, we can attract those who emphasize our trueness.
Your vibe attracts your tribe. Love yourself and the world will love you back.
