I've been manifesting my dreams beyond comprehension thus far. The universe is giving me an incredible array of opportunity, and I'm indescribably grateful.
My desires to feel ADVENTUROUS and CONNECTED in 2016 are being met with the most amazing opportunity this upcoming April. I have been given the chance to travel to Tanzania, Africa, as a Physical Therapist on a volunteer mission trip to work with a variety of children. Additionally, I will be traveling alongside a group of Physical Therapy students from Northwestern University to teach them how to work with these children in need.
In my heart, I've desired a grandeur influence in the world of Physical Therapy. Currently, I work with the best children and families at my full-time job, yet I crave giving even MORE to the world. In my first year of Physical Therapy school, one of my professors did a presentation on his travels to Haiti as a volunteer Physical Therapist. He spoke of amputees, disabled children, and the devastation that continues plaguing Haiti after the 7.0-magnitude earthquake of 2010. His ability to influence a less fortunate population was beyond inspirational. I knew I would need to carry out a similar mission in my career. I imagined how fulfilling it would be to see the smiles on the locals' faces as they received medical services with genuine care and compassion. It sends shivers down my spine to know I have the power to give so much to people who have so little...

I aspire to touch the lives of the locals in Tanzania. I will open my heart to learn, and facilitate growth and development in all I encounter. My smile, therapeutic touch, and knowledge will enable me to make a difference. I will surrender myself to the people of Tanzania.
