Today, I woke up with my head spinning. I had a loose interpretation of what this weekend would bring, and plans have shifted. I have been feeling like going on an adventure, but wasn't sure how it would come to fruition. I'm feeling pulled in a few directions; I want to develop myself as a Physical Therapist, Traveler, Yogi. I want to enrich my soul with new information and experiences. With all this mental chatter, I feel as if I am floating, and will go wherever the wind blows. However, at this time, I intend to feel grounded. I need to reconnect. I need to trust.
This weekend, I will feel grounded via:
Doing yoga.
I always get a great deal of peace from yoga. By making contact with the ground, yet extending from my limbs, I feel limitless. Testing my body's abilities and connecting with myself spiritually, I feel the most ultimate form of grounding via yoga. I intend to find a new yoga studio to check out this weekend in my area.
Getting inspired by others.
Feeling the energy from others is a great way to reconnect with energy inside of us. Although inspiration from others may seem contrary to the idea of "grounding" and "rooting," trust me. As a social being, I get a great deal of peace from connecting with others. Sometimes, a sense of reality from someone else's story will also help us reevaluate ourselves, realizing we are not the only beings on this planet. Tonight, I plan to attend an inspirational talk from Nick Vujicic at Boca Raton's FAU campus. There will be more on this later, I assure you!
Using my Cedarwood essential oil.
I am a believer in the use of essential oils in daily life for all remedies, whether it be mind, body, or soul. Today, I am reconnecting with cedarwood from the only company I purchase through, YoungLiving. According to YL, it's best used for balancing, relaxing, and mental focus. All morning, I have been breathing in cedarwood's woodsy, balancing goodness using my diffuser!
Hanging with Gaia.
Nature is humbling, and helps us discover ourselves inwardly. I intend to get lost in some greenery, and perhaps some oceanscapes. A little meditation in nature will likely go a long way. Observing my thoughts as they arise and fall while connected with a greater force has powerful healing abilities.
Happy Weekend!
