This weekend, I traveled to Boston to ring in the New Year with my cousin/sister/soulmate/chim-chimbubblechunks. Prior to my travels, I hosted an early New Years Resolution Party. The attendees:
Sounds like a party, eh?
As mentioned in my last post, I am following the movement to create “goals with soul.” I won’t be filling this post with specific resolutions such as:
Rather, I’m opening my heart to manifestations of how I want to feel. I’m starting inward, and trusting the universe to produce these feelings in a variety of ways. According to Danielle LaPorte:
We have the procedure of achievement upside down. We go after the stuff we want to have and accomplish outside of ourselves, and we hope and pray that we’ll feel great when we get there. It’s backwards. And it’s burning us out. What if, first, we got clear on how we actually wanted to feel in our life, and then we set our intentions?
2015 Reflections
In 2015, my main goal was to trust my intuition. I sensed there would be big decisions to make in 2015, and I aimed to be more connected to my heart. As a recovered, chronic over-thinker (with a history of obsessively creating “If…Then” scenarios), I’ve now learned my intuition is more trustworthy than I presumed. It was put to the test earlier than I would’ve expected in April 2015 when I took a leap of faith. I chose to transport my life to South Florida and move away from my home in Long Island. I had been presented with two viable options--one certainly being safer, and the other more in line with my life direction and core desired feelings. I craved living outside my comfort zone, and started feeling restless on Long Island. I was ready and willing for change.
I am filled with gratitude and love from 2015, which blessed me with: a life-changing move to South Florida, 18 airline flights, 1 cruise, 2 VIP club nights, scuba certification, 1 skydive, 8 scuba dives, 4 Florida Keys trips, 3 camping trips, countless new friends, a family of coworkers, 2 weddings, many miles between myself and loved ones (but no change in the strength of our relationships), my blog (yay!), true self-love and gratitude for the universe, 100% trust in my intuition, hammocking, nights that turned into mornings, living in the sunshine/swimming in the sea/drinking the wild air, freedom, clarity, and inner peace. I am living on my own for the first time, which has brought about periodic stressful freak-outs, followed by periods of self-development. I’ve connected deeply with my desires, and formed meaningful relationships with a myriad of people. I’ve attracted more people and experiences I could’ve ever imagined, and I’m so thankful. 2015 has certainly been an explosive year of growth.
How do we move forward from here? Let’s start with my core-desired feelings.

I am feeling ready for these core-desired feelings to come to fruition. I know, undoubtedly, that 2016 will be a year of wanderlust adventures. I look forward to continue learning and growing independently and codependently with loved ones.
Let’s continue attracting how we want to feel, and remain connected with our centers. We should always keep our souls in mind, and create a world in our best interest. Believe it or not, Life usually has something even better in store for you than what you’ve imagined.
Happy New Year! May your resolutions be wholesome, your heart be light, and your mind be at peace with the beauty and pain of 2015. Let’s move forward and continue enjoying our life journeys.
Namaste, my friends.
